			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;">Here are the finished storyboards, which are very rough draft sketches, that layout all the major scenes in a motion piece.</p>
<p>The &#8220;Short Story&#8221; of this experimental piece is about a character that struggles between life and reality. This character deals with her trouble life by escaping to her dreams. As dreams cant last forever, soon both worlds crash and reality finds a way to bring her back into realization of her harsh cold life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You can download release 3 by clicking <a href="http://beneathme.cias.rit.edu/development/testing/r3.zip">this</a> link. Any feedback is appreciated. I fixed a nasty memory leak that&#8217;s been around since R2, so performance should be improved in all cases. There was a problem with how the C# garbage collector handled some strings on the HUD, and it turns out that none of the strings were ever deallocated. It created a massive memory leak, since the strings were updated every nanosecond.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s fun to play around with the tv texture. I&#8217;ll change the code in the future so that it will play anything you dump in the video folder. Right now, the video paths are hard-coded into the application.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I uploaded a (brief) demo of release 3. It shows how movies can be viewed in the 3d scene. It took a lot longer than I expected to implement this, but this was more or less the last significant technological hurdle. You can download it by clicking <a href="http://www.cs.rit.edu/~dxv5273/bm/r3demo.zip">this</a> link. The choppiness is due to the recording tool that was used, not the application itself.</p>
<p>We want to use this functionality to implement something like a television. Using a keyboard or a Wiimote, a user should be able to switch to other videos.</p>
<p>I will upload the deliverable tomorrow (3/29).</p>

<p>After April 5th, we will take the completed engine, and use it to develop some scenes. So far, we are progressing as planned. You can monitor our progress yourself by downloading and running the deliverables. Because the engine is written using C#, you will need a recent version of the .NET runtime environment installed. Obviously, you will need to be running a Windows PC as well. As far as hardware requirements go,  I recommend having a PCIe graphics device, as well as an Intel E8000 series processor, or better.</p>
